these are small issues that are more irritations. Our perseverance is built through the small moments that often seem unimportant. Each day we choose to live in a sense of perseverance. Each day we choose to persevere and add to the depth of maturity as leaders.

2. Perseverance increases over time
Being able to withstand the major storms of life comes from the increase of perseverance over long periods of time. Little by little the ability to persevere is developed within us. Much like physical exercise builds and develops muscles, experience builds and develops perseverance. Perseverance is developed through the process of daily living. Leaders need to be able to develop a spirit of perseverance to help them move through times of hardship and difficulty.

3. Perseverance is a skill that is developed
There is a difference between giftedness and skills. Giftedness is something that is God given but skill can be developed over time. There are leaders who have amazing giftedness but never harness it and it is wasted. There are also leaders who never focus their efforts and never develop their skills. Perseverance is a skill that is learned but many leaders ignore this fact. The longer it takes for a leader to learn the reality of perseverance the more hardships they will have to face.
